Green Side Up is the best contractor I have ever worked with bar none! I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We hired Green Side Up to do a fairly large project for us -- interlocked patio in our backyard, a walkway around our house, the driveway, replacing our porch steps and covering the porch with flagstone. Our experience from the moment we met their owner Jay last November to the completion of the project in May was superb and the execution was flawless. 

Jay and Rob listened to our ideas, provided very valuable recommendations and paid attention to every little detail. The project was done on time and on budget and all our questions and concerns (actually very few concerns) were addressed within 1-2 days. 

They were very considerate to the fact that we were working from home during the project so they kept the level of noise to the minimum and even stopped cutting stones during our meetings. They only bring the materials and equipment that they need for each given day and clean the area before going home each day.

But most importantly, not only are they true professionals in what they do but they are also very nice people to work with. So it feels like we made new friends together with getting beautiful landscaping around our house. 

Needless to say we highly recommend Green Side Up for any landscaping needs you may have!

My experience with Green Side Up Contracting has been nothing short of amazing.

After speaking with numerous contractors, I found them on HomeStars given they were very highly rated. While doing some research, my wife also noticed that they completed the backyard of a colleague of hers. Given the comments we read online as well as the great reviews from a personal contact, we knew this was the way to go.

After an initial meeting with Jay at our home, we knew this was the company to go with. He is fantastic, extremely personable and if you are going to be interacting with a team for a few weeks, it makes all the difference. We had contractors who wanted to charge us $1,500 for a design. After mapping everything out in our initial meeting, I asked Jay, so when do we do the official design. He said, what do you mean, we just did it . In addition, we didnt pay anything until the job was complete. Try to find that somewhere else. This is a team that obviously stands behind their work.

Jays partner Rob and the rest of the team started the work earlier than anticipated and did a fantastic job. They coordinated with the other contractors to run the gas line, install the irrigation system, etc. Everything came together beautifully.

Speaking to Rob (and the team) on a daily basis throughout the project was a pleasure. Like most large projects, we ran into some minor challenges but as Rob says, theres no crying in the landscaping business, so these were dealt with swiftly.

Jay, Corey and the Guys at Green Side were fantastic and a pleasure to work with. They provided a quick quote (initially online) and honoured it. They also have a great website which details out exactly what theyre going to do for the entire project.
We also appreciated the fact that they accommodated our pool opening to get our new fence built prior to our opening. They also travelled from Aurora to the west end, and were always on time and ready to go.

Jay and his team did a great job. Hired Green Side Up to replace a fence, replace and expand a deck, and lay down some stone. Job came out better than expected. The various teams were professional, polite and on time. Jay managed through some supply issues and inclement weather. At the end we had a much nicer backyard!

We asked for a new fence on our corner lot, the quote was what we paid, Jay and the team were on time and did an amazing job.

Finding a contractor who checks all the boxes is no small feat. Well, Im here to say that Greenside Up Contracting does just that. From start to finish in the building of my fence, Jay and his team of Corey and Travis were highly professional. They were responsive to my input, skilled in their work, competitive in their pricing, completed my fence within the timeline given and most especially, were there for follow-up years later when I wanted a few boards replaced that had slightly discoloured. While not under warranty, Jay has his team came out and replaced the boards free of charge. When they were leaving after replacing the boards, Jay and team said, Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you in the future. So impressive!

I hired Green Side Up Contracting to renew my old deck and build fences for my backyard. Jay explained the process and how long it is going to take in details and answered my questions. Jay is honest, frank and knows how to listen his clients. I am very happy to choose his company.

He recommended permit guys and worked with them. The project went smooth overall. There was some delays due to supply issue but that was a risk I was informed on time.

Jays deck crew did a nice work. Listened to my request and adjusted some small things.

Jay's team of subcontracted carpenters and builders, led by Daniel Meister, did an amazing job under sometimes challenging circumstances due to inclement weather and tight rear laneway parking. Daniel and friends were efficient, dedicated, flexible and friendly, making sure to inform and ask us along the way about any changes or modifications that made sense. We're thrilled with the final result, and would highly recommend Green Side Up and Daniel Meister for their excellent project organization and workmanship.
