Really satisfied with their service. I called and the lady on the phone was very polite and told me they could have someone come in on the same day. The repairman showed up an hour later and explained the problem with my fridge. He was able to fix it in half an hour!

My freezer stopped working after having it serviced by another company so I decided to go with SOS after a colleague recommended them. They were able to come to my home on the same day, which was hugely convenient. The repairman was prompt and courteous, explaining the problem with my freezer and fixing it in less than an hour. Extremely happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone!

I called 3 weeks ago for 3 problems with my refrigerator: No longer cools, ice maker does not work & door has difficulty closing. Service man comes and only looks at the door and leaves. Three weeks and daily phone calls to have them come back to look at the major issue which is that the fridge no longer is cold, and they still have not come. Today was the last straw, I stayed home for the 4 hour window they said they would come and they did not come. When I called, they first tried to say they did not know what I was talking about then when I realized it was the lady whom I had spoke to the night before and booked the appointment with, she apologized and said someone can come tomorrow. NO THANK YOU!

bad service, terrible customer service, they charge to much for do nothing , wouldn't recommend them. They said its will be 80 for service call and diagnosis, but technician after 3 minutes quoted me over 300 for repair.

Had a dishwasher that wasn't draining anymore. Technician was sent in and diagnosed problem as a pump failure and recommended we buy a new dishwasher through them. After getting paid and leaving, we noticed he left a large amount of standing water in the dishwasher that started leaking all over the place through the same fittings he was troubleshooting. Damaged the nearby cabinets and surrounding flooring and we had to manually drain the dishwasher water he left by hand. It was such an amateur job, that I now question his diagnosis and won't be calling on them again in the future. Those looking for dishwasher repair are well advised to look elsewhere.

SOS promptly responded to my call and sent a technician to my door the same day I called to report my gas oven was not working. The problem was identified, the required part ordered and then installed within the week. I highly recommend SOS Appliance and will use them again.

I am updating my review. The issues with my fridge persisted. They were prompt in responding and gave sound advice. I'm still surprised by the cost, but I appreciate the technician's friendliness and honesty. Yes, I would recommend this company to friends.

Do not use this company. They sent a technician to look at my fridge. He took a look, said it needs a new temperature sensor and that he'll contact me on Monday to set up an install date. I never heard from him again. I've called them countless times to schedule an appointment with no success - technician was on holiday, busy, etc. I'm now fighting for my $90 back. I feel I gave them several opportunities to come and do the repair and each time they disappointed me.

After calling a couple of other repair businesses that would not have been able to assess or repair my fridge until Sunday (we discovered the fridge was not cooling on Thursday) I called SOS. It was around 4:30 pm and they said that I could get service between 6 and 8 pm that night. At 5 pm the repairman called to say he was in the neighbourhood and could he come over early. He arrived around 5:10 pm. He immediately identified the problem and explained clearly how he was going to fix it. By 5:46 pm the fridge was running smoothly again, as when he heard it was a GE fridge he knew exactly the part to replace and it was one they carried in their vans. He also let us know what to do if this problem happened again. I had been so afraid of what the service and repair was going to be like after reading the reviews here (after I had already booked the repair) and could not have been more relieved. It was expensive (I assume it is comparable to other businesses) but considering how quickly the problem was solved, we were happy to pay.

What a complete waste of money. If only my hubby had checked the reviews before calling. The technician came to "fix" the dishwasher. He had trouble diagnosing the problem and said he would go and research at home, even though we had the manual handy for him. We stupidly paid the service fee and then never heard back from him. We have called a dozen times, only to be told he is busy or "sleeping". Unbelievably unprofessional. We were mislead. This is a completely useless company that makes their profit by sending someone to your house for a few minutes to collect a fee for doing absolutely nothing. Do not use this company if you like to keep your hard earned dollars.
What a sham.
