After struggling for 2 days and trying everything, yesterday we've decided to call for professional help. Compared to some companies that offered an appointment in "just" 5 days, Clean Flow was able to send a specialist within 90 minutes. Wow!
Luke really tried hard and did his best to try to clean the drain with three different cables, to no avail. Then he suggested to open the ceiling in the basement to get to the pipe. He made a very educated guess about the location of an opening, considering a weird configuration of our piping. After a tedious process of carefully draining the "water" from a cut pipe we all discovered the real cause of the problem - a fair amount of grout (a side effect of our recent DIY kitchen renovation project). The rest was an easy job.
We were really impressed with Luke's professionalism, skills, persistence and patience. Now we know who we are calling next time we have a plumbing issue.

We called DrainPro about a basement floor drain that had been overflowing each time we did laundry. Matt and his assistant were prompt, friendly and very efficient. No more plugged drain. I will definitely call them again (but hopefully not for a few years!).

Basement drain was backed up and I got panicked. Matt showed up before the promised time, and was very professional and helpful. He cleaned the areas well after the job was dne, even.
Later I asked him to change the old kitchen faucet and am very happy with the new one he installed. (additional $400)

I will call them again when I need any plumbing job done, and would recommend them to my friends.

My kitchen and basement laundry drains (on the same line) plugged up in two different places over New Year's. After attempting to fix the problem myself, with no success (including replacing the kitchen sink's plumbing), I turned to DrainPro, based on their Yellow Pages ad. The technician showed up on time and not only solved the drainage problem quickly and professionally, but also improved my new plumbing setup to help him do so. Even though he had to do extra work beyond the original task as the job progressed, he stayed with his original VERY AFFORDABLE quote!!! They really do stand by their word that "You will know the price before we start". Based on my experience with Ritchie, I would recommend this firm and its people to anyone -- last time my laundry drain clogged it cost me half again as much with another firm, for significantly less work.
