I needed a new gate for the stairs to my basement door from outside to ensure safety for grandchildren, as well as to enhance security for our home. I also wanted to install 5 metal grates on our basement window wells so that our grandchildren would not be at risk from falling into them.

Art Metal Workshop was recommended to me by a family member. I called them and a rep arrived at the time and date agreed to measure and get my input on what I wanted. It was important to me that, besides the safety and security aspects, the gate and grates fit in with other fencing around the house.

They measured, provided a detailed quote and diagram. Then I accepted the quote and put a deposit down.

The Art Metal office team were very helpful and kept me informed on progress and answered all my questions.

They gate and grates were install very professionally. They are solid and fit in very well with my existing fencing. The grates are very solid and can be walked on, but still let light through to the basement windows.

A very professional outfit, ArtMetal designed and installed two different railings on two decks. They shared final plans for my approval and worked with me to find the best installation date. They changed the original design because of issues with some parts and I'm completely satisfied with the improved design which did not increase the price. Our house is on a bit of a hill, so there are quite a few steps from the street to our front door. Art Metal installed a railing alongside the steps, and painted it in our preferred colour. This was just a small job but it shows how fantastic the people are who work there. The latch broke on my 17 year old wrought iron gate, not installed by them, so I took the broken part and dropped in at Art Metal to ask where I could get a replacement. It turns out to be an unusual design with no ready replacement. So, instead, they took the part back into the shop and in 5 minutes they had it welded together, stronger than new, and painted. And they refused to take any payment. How's that for service? As you can imagine, I highly recommend these folks and will certainly use them if I ever need anymore wrought iron.

During the pandemic, I contacted Art Metal to quote on, and construct, a fence as well as removing my existing fence. They gave a competitive quote quickly, completed the job in a timely manner, and we are very pleased with their excellent work and superior service. We highly recommend them.
