We asked Steve for a quote because we wanted to have our basement renovated to become a recroom, toy room, washroom and storage area. His quote was the best of multiple quotes and it seemed pretty clear after speaking with him that he had a good amount of experience and was very personable. Our instincts were right, Steve and his crew completed the renovation on time and the workmanship was excellent. His team of electricians, plumbers and carpenters were all very personable and extremely good tradesmen. On Steve's recommendation, we expanded our plans for the basement bathroom and had a custom tiled shower created. We are glad we did because it turned out beautifully!! We had Steve and his team help finish our basement renovation. His crew did our drywall mudding and then he handled the trim work to finish it off. Steve was a pleasure to work with. He was always easy to get a hold of and he fit us into his busy schedule quickly. Plus, his prices were great. And in the end, we were very happy with the work. We get so many compliments on the basement and we couldn't have done it without Steve!

We needed to get our kitchen, dinning room and basement renovated to have more livable space that matched our tastes in our semi-detached home. Steve's work was top quality and the project was completed on time and on budget. I couldn't ask for more.

The job was done on time and within the budget that was established. There was no mess left. The kitchen was 100% ready to use and the entire family was extremely pleased with the guys. They were very professional.

Our basement was old and ugly. We needed to improve the recroom, add an extra room and rearrange our laundry. Steve took care of everything and gave us many ideas like adding a half wall for the dryer vent and washer pipes. He organized all of the subcontractors (plumber,electrician etc. Installed doors, walls, drywall, pot lights, extra outlets, beadboard wainscotting and chair rail. Came accross Steve's name on HomeStars website; I asked him to give me a quote on some finishing carpentry (baseboards, doors and windows casing, framing.....). Not only he was very competitive in terms of price, i was also extremely satisified with the quality of the work. We hired Steve Kampf to do some repairs/renovations on our house in the fall of 2009. He was recommended to us by our neighbour. I asked the neighbour if he would ask Steve for an estimate on some badly-needed work in our backyard. The next day, I received a comprehensive, written estimate from Steve in my mailbox. His estimate was reasonable and his suggestions for further work were right on the mark.

A few weeks later, Steve removed a large tree from my backyard, as well as part of the back gate. He was also hired to replace that part of the gate. He did such a beautiful job on the gate. Not only was his woodworking precise, but he also gave some thought to what we would need in terms of privacy, since some new townhouses had just been built behind my house and we had lost some of our privacy there.

About a month later, Steve built a new window frame for a large window that overlooks the 3rd floor deck. Again, his woodwork was fantastic.

His work is well thought-out and well-executed, and he cleans up all the mess he's made before he leaves. Another thing that I appreciate very much is that he communicates in a timely fashion with clients. He arranges and confirms work times and doesn't leave you waiting hours for him. He is also very personable. All in all, Steve is a great find and I'm so glad our neighbour recommended him.

Steve was recommended to me through a family member that had a $130,000 kitchen/basement renovation done. My wife and I had Steve build a Cabana for our backyard pool. Steve built a deck in the back yard of my house in May 2009. I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship and attention to detail.
