Gar Con Building Group Ltd No Longer In Business

We employed GarCon Building Group to undertake an interior renovation project that involved removing a partial wall in our living/dining room as well as modifying our master bedroom to include a larger ensuite and a walk-in closet. The cost of the project was in line with the estimate that was provided. Adam responded to our inquiries quickly, made suggestions and was agreeable to make changes when we requested them. We very much appreciated Adam’s efforts to address our concerns in a timely manner. Members of his team were always courteous and pleasant to deal with - especially the crew that did the demolition work. Most of the trades that were brought in did good work. We were particularly impressed with the work and reliability of Nael and Scott who did the tiling. Alex the dry Waller and Jacob the electrician were also very dependable. The overall process was relativity smooth culminating in a successful project.

Adam came highly recommended to us by some friends who had just finished a project with him. We got a good feeling from adam right at the first meeting. he was easy to talk to, and really understood our feelings and concerns about the project. He was always available for questions whenever we needed him, or anyone from his team. we gutted our 2 storey home which was about 1,600 sq,ft and did an addition of 1,800 sq/ft. Adam estimated the project would take about 6 months, and it took just that. His quote was very detailed like none we had seen before. the quality of work was impeccable. All of his workers and sub-contractors were great to work with. they did a really nice job on our home, and we are very happy with our choice and using garcon. although we hope to stay in our new home for many years to come, we would not hesitate to call adam again should another project come up. thanks adam and garcon.

We got several quotes and selected Garcon for the renovation of our condo townhouse. They provided a detailed and accurate quote of what needed to be done. They were able to start right away unlike other contractors we consulted. The price was reasonable and fair. They provided recommendations with no pressure tactics. We have a 3rd floor patio that had, unbeknownst to us, been leaking for some time and had rotted the plywood sheathing and joists under the patio (in the ceiling of the living room below) as well as the studs and plywood sheathing in the exterior wall, and there was mold on the wood as well. We had several quotes to completely rip out and re-do the patio (including the flat roof under the decking) including the siding all around it, build a wall and closet in the room below to make it a bedroom (including some electrical work), replace the shingles on the front of our house with siding, and replace the front and back patio railings and stairs entirely.

Adam from GarCon was by far the most professional of those we got quotes from, and his quote was also the best price we saw. Throughout the project everyone we dealt with from GarCon was very professional and courteous, and while there were a few hiccups in the project, most of them were weather-related and were fixed by Ross and the team as soon as I mentioned them (including one issue that arose with the pouring rain on Thanksgiving Sunday when they came out to fix it immediately, no questions asked!).. The only increases to the original estimate were for things that we added as the project moved along, and they threw in a few extras here and there without adding to the cost. I would absolutely recommend GarCon to anyone looking to do a repair / reno project, and should we have any more projects we want to tackle in the future, GarCon will be getting our business 100%!
