Stay away from Enercare

The previous owner rented the water heater from enercare. after years rental , I decided to cancel, after buyout final bill, they kept sending invoice trying to make money without any service. Be really care this company.
The really funny : at the end of phone call to have a survey: Did the agent solve your problem, only 1&2 option. 1=yes, 2=no. when I selected 2, then they responded it is invalid number! lol

Terrible service winding up hot water tank rental / removing tank

Could Enercare "care" less about its customers? After paying them $20/month to rent a hot water tank that is now 20 years old, we decided to upgrade to a modern hybrid system (which they do not offer). You would think that after paying Enercare some $4500 over the years for what was probably a $500 water heater at the time, they would say "thank you - please dispose of the tank as you see fit" - as that tank is obviously scrap metal at this point. But no: we are told we "borrowed the tank, like someone borrowing a pencil, and the owner expects it back." So unless we want to buy it for $100+HST, we have to wait a week for them to come pick it up or schlep it to a depot open two days a week, for four hours at a time. No exceptions. This is ridiculous if not scandalous business behaviour and customer service. When it comes time to replace your water heater, ask yourself carefully about the economics of renting from rapacious companies that live off these rents... and only offer terrible customer service.

Hot Water Heater Installation

Clovis and Thomas installed our hot water heater and were very courteous and professional. It was a bigger job than they and we had anticipated as we had to convert from direct vent to power vent. We were grateful for how they respected our home and us as customers. Very knowledgeable. Answered all our questions and helped us understand how the new system and the applicance works.
We really appreciated having these two professionals do the work that was required for us.

TERRIBLE COMPANY. Rude managers. Untrained employees.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY, I booked electrician service as I got wire tripped while removing kitchen cabinets. I explained everything to the agent and he booked my appointment knowing that I am getting work done in the kitchen. The electrician came and refused the job within 10 seconds. I have been trying to dispute the visit charges as the agent who booked my appointment I told him what was being done at my house, he should have been aware of their policies and not book the appointment. AND ON TOP OF THAT THEIR MANAGERS ARE there to intimidate you . I HAVE NOT HAD SUCH TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY HERE IN CANADA SO FAR. PLs people DO NOT BUY THEIR PLANS . DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONES. I wish I could cancel.my plumbing service too . Definitely not renewing or coming back in future. I am done with this company.

Electric Repairs

I had excellent service by the electrician sent by Enercare. He was professional, courteous, thorough, with excellent communication skills. Given a list of multiple small jobs, he went through them one by one. He even checked the smoke detectors on his own, offering advice about safety and products. As the work took too long, he booked another appointment and came back to finish the job.

An absolute nightmare company to deal with long-term

I have had to deal with an Enercare contract for over 5 years, as have many where I live. It is at times comical how consistently we have collectively experienced such poor customer service. My issues include: unprofessional service (leaving mistakes, a mess after work completed, untrained individuals, damage to my wall that they will not fix, dragging muddy shoes through my house), erroneous charges that take multiple calls and hours to have fixed, constantly being hung up on or 'hold' by Enercare agents when support is needed, lack of follow through (i.e. "Someone will call you back in 48 hours" - never happens), conflicting information between technicians and service reps. I had one Technician once that was literally on a phone call being guided on what to do and didnt know the basic difference between parts that even I know as a lay person with ZERO HVAC background - unsurprisingly - the issue was not resolved. Another time I had to call Enercare 4 times to have a mistake fixed (each time a representative was supposed to call me back within 48 hours - it took 3 weeks to get service). Another time an electrician was needed, and confirmed to be booked - a licensed electrician is not who was sent. They also tried to sell me products that were ill suited for my space - thankfully, my own research and knowing they cannot be trusted allowed me to make informed decisions. They are NOT experts sent to support customer needs - they are simply their for their own sale. If you must use Enercare, document, document, document, document. Take pictures, ask questions and do not sign work releases until you have carefully inspected the work yourself.

Dishonest Customer Service

Run away from this company. It was all smooth sailing with this business until you need something. They accidently cancelled my plan which resulted me getting billed for more than 600 dollars. After I called in and talked with one of the reps, he admitted that it was an Enercare mistake and said they would not charge me for it, but guess what I still got charged. Now they are saying it would take 1-2 months for them to escalate the situation and decide if I can get my money back.

Oh btw, you get disconnected if the reps are in a bad mood

water heater customer service

It is the worst company, I called today to fix my account, I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes to fix my problem, nobody knows, they transferred my call from one agent to another, I talked to 5 agents and with each one I had to tell the story again, in the end, I spoke to a supervisor who showed me attitude and He was mentioning that I can solve my problem by myself, No wonder the agents did not know, because even supervisor did not have an idea, please be aware they are not good at all, everybody should cancel this company and not even bother to check with them
