I have had to deal with an Enercare contract for over 5 years, as have many where I live. It is at times comical how consistently we have collectively experienced such poor customer service. My issues include: unprofessional service (leaving mistakes, a mess after work completed, untrained individuals, damage to my wall that they will not fix, dragging muddy shoes through my house), erroneous charges that take multiple calls and hours to have fixed, constantly being hung up on or 'hold' by Enercare agents when support is needed, lack of follow through (i.e. "Someone will call you back in 48 hours" - never happens), conflicting information between technicians and service reps. I had one Technician once that was literally on a phone call being guided on what to do and didnt know the basic difference between parts that even I know as a lay person with ZERO HVAC background - unsurprisingly - the issue was not resolved. Another time I had to call Enercare 4 times to have a mistake fixed (each time a representative was supposed to call me back within 48 hours - it took 3 weeks to get service). Another time an electrician was needed, and confirmed to be booked - a licensed electrician is not who was sent. They also tried to sell me products that were ill suited for my space - thankfully, my own research and knowing they cannot be trusted allowed me to make informed decisions. They are NOT experts sent to support customer needs - they are simply their for their own sale. If you must use Enercare, document, document, document, document. Take pictures, ask questions and do not sign work releases until you have carefully inspected the work yourself.
