Timea made selecting material a helpful, good experience - kudos to her, because it's not an easy decision for something that will leave a big impression on your home for years to come.

Consult, estimate and project management were inadequate. During the estimate process we subtracted various materials to reduce costs but Lehel merely increased the prices of other materials so that the bottom line remained essentially the same. Concerns we had during consult were minimized, yet when it came to working the owner was a high stress complainer about elevator times, keeping furniture clear, laying floor around closet organizers, scheduling, etc.

Demolition was done by undertrained, ham-fisted subcontractors; inexplicable, multiple and deep drywall holes were found; baseboards weren't first scored before removal, leading to significant areas of paint/drywall tears - totally inexcusable. No repairs or discounts were offered, only a sheepish apology. The demo crew arrived 1 day behind schedule due to problems at other sites. The crew kept showing up late every day and threatened to disrupt our entire building's elevator booking schedule - so we helped load/unload each day and actually made up the lost time. When we asked for a discount in return, only a thank you was given. Lastly, Lehel did not once visit the job site during or at the conclusion of the work. Poor business practices/relations!!!

The installation was very good, but not excellent. Caulking was missed in several areas and flooring cuts around closet organizers did not match up for one room, leaving that organizer's frame slightly off of vertical.

We have used three companies for hardwood and engineered flooring in the past; Alliance compares well in terms of materials offered and install quality; however, demolition and business/project management are very poor, enough for us not to recommend this company to anyone.
