1-800-GOT-JUNK?

We had a large old sofa that most companies were quoting much higher to dispose of. Their service was prompt, professional and convenient. I would definitely recommend to friends and family

We had recently purchased a new sofa and wanted to get rid of the old one. We called 1-800-GOT-JUNK and it was removed the same day. The movers were polite and respectful, as well as careful navigating around the house. Overall, great job!

Very professional over phone. Arrived on time and loaded things up fast. Turns out much of the price was based on the room it took up in their truck so the quote was lower than the end price. But it's hard to quote properly without actually seeing everything we wanted moved beforehand. Glad I had some extra cash on hand. Very satisfied.

After moving in to our new home, we had both our junk and the previous owner's junk to get rid of. Got Junk took care of it quickly! My only concern is the pricing by weight doesn't provide a clear indication of the final cost, and it ended up being more than I had expected when I first called.

Last month I phoned 1-800-Got-Junk? to price removing 3 cubic yards of earth. Friendly & cheerful Jeff told me pricing would be confirmed on site - but so that I'd "know what to expect", he said 3 yards of earth, spread 1 foot high, would fill about 1/4 of the 8'x10'x4' truck bed, & should cost $158. He said a truck could be here within 2 hours, and urged me to book it immediately. He was very convincing.

On arrival, however, the driver said the job would cost $338 - since earth was priced differently! After I explained that Jeff had clearly discussed EARTH, he offered to do the job for the $158 I'd been told. But when he phoned his Manager, the price flipped back to $338. Is this their alleged "Up Front Pricing": tell me one thing, then another, then another, then another? However, by that point I just wanted the earth gone; so, I agreed - but I'll never use Got-Junk again. As people say: 'Burn me once; shame on you. Burn me twice; shame on me.'

A few days later, I phoned Customer Service to discuss their bait-&-switch routine. Friendly & cheerful Steve said he'd inform his Customer Experience Coordinator & someone would phone me "within 1 business day & get this thing resolved." Nobody phoned.

3 days later I phoned again, & spoke to friendly & cheerful Isabelle. She listened, put me on 'hold', & then returned to say her Coordinator was away from her desk, but would DEFINITELY phone me before the end of the day. Nobody phoned.

Since EVERY SINGLE THING I WAS TOLD ON THE PHONE WAS WRONG, are Got-Junk's employees incompetent - or are they . . .? Did someone at Got-Junk remember Shakespeare's line, "One may smile & smile & be a villain", and paraphrase it to 'Kill 'em with kindness, but jack up the price at the door'? Whatever the case, I stopped phoning Got-Junk. Instead, I warned my friends - & now I'm warning you.

I hired them 2 times for myself and recommended them to close freind of mine
Telephone reception was very positive, freindly, enthusiastic yet very professional and patient
Service was on time
The truck crew, unlike so many truck guys, were just as good as the guys on the phone, WOW! That's refreshing and rare even with most big companies !

They are not the cheap guy in town, but like they say; 'you get what you pay for'

I have been looking at my old sofa and love seat for a long time now wanting to get rid of them. The reason I didn't is because they were just too awkward to get out of the house and to the street for garbage pick-up. Today, at about 2 pm I finally picked up the phone and called 1-800-Got-Junk? Within 2 hours, the furniture was gone. Picked up by Chris and Steve, two young fellows who were not only polite, cheerful, efficient, and amazingly adept at removing big furniture from a small space but also respectful. They were concerned about my indoor cats getting out and reminded me to close the door behind them so the cats would be ok.

I have never been happier with a service. I will definitely recommend this company and I will use it again. I'm sure all the employees are great but I would ask for Steve and Chris again just becuase they are great!

Asked the two men from 1-800-got-junk to remove an old fridge, washer and dryer. These were really old appliances left by the previous owner, not to mention super heavy. And I mean really heavy!!! They were removed from our basement. The fridge didn't fit to basement entrance so they had to pry off the doors. A tad pricey for my liking but for all the work they've done getting it out of there, it was worth it. The two men were friendly and understanding. Thanks again! L/J from Markham.
